Merry Xmas to my loved ones, friends and all. This album was made in 1991, when Xmas music just sucked (except for the great classics, but still...), since then everyone and their Grandmother has made Xmas music, but I think this still holds up well, and is quite different. |
| Side This is the Party music - 6 songs (4 originals) that rock, ska, blues and even, god forbid comic country you through Xmas. Meant to be listened to LOUD. The musicians that made up The 1991 Xmas Razz Band were all brilliant beyond my skills to record them and they are some of the sweetest guys and gals as people you could imagine. I'll reproduce the original artwork by next Xmas (really, I will) | |

Side That is John (one pass) Yeates. This guy just blows me away with his talent on any instrument. Here he is with his arsenal of bent acoustic guitars. All of these are just John, in one take, no overdubs, no editing. The guy sounds like 2 or 3 great guitarists playing and offers up arrangements of the classic Xmas tunes, that shine and amuse. Sorry for sounding like a Kraft commercial, but it does taste good :)

So Merry Xmas in 2006 to the people that make my life special and to all. A Big Kiss, Hug or 'cough, cough' Handshake to all those that I love or enjoy. Peace, please. Ian. 17/12/2006, thanx to all and special thanx to my beautiful and smart daughters Julie and Alicia.
